印光大师:净土五经为净土法门之根本

[size=4] 弥陀经,为净土法门之根本法门。行愿品,虽广大深妙,究非净土法门之根本法源。故宜二经同念断不可只念行愿,不念弥陀。只念弥陀,不念行愿则可。只念行愿,不念弥陀则不可。弥陀经为朝暮课诵,或多念亦可。断不可绝不念弥陀经,而专念行愿品,以成忘本之修持也。二经固无高下,而对于净土行人,却有亲疏。是不得与诸大乘经作一例论也。十大愿王所说之益,系举其胜者,将谓弥陀经所得之益,不能如是乎。若作此说,在劝导一边,亦可作据。在体道明宗一边,未免随语生解。众生生者,皆是阿鞞跋致,阿鞞跋致之人,固能随类化身者。居士如此论弥陀经,为光所未曾闻见者。此种闲议论,何若不开口为有益乎。(印光法师文钞三编卷一复胡宅梵居士书二) [/size]

[size=4]人贵自知,不可妄说过分大话。观汝之疑议,看得译经绝无其难,只要识得外国文,就好做译人。译人若教他译经,还是同不懂外国话的一样。你要据梵本,梵本不是铁铸的。须有能分别梵本文义,或的确,或传久讹谬之智眼,方可译经。然非一人所能。以故译经场中,许多通家。有译文者,有证义者。其预译场之人,均非全不通佛法之人。汝完全认做为外国人译话,正如读书人识字,圣人深奥之文,了不知其是何意义。此种妄话,切勿再说。再说虽令无知识者误佩服,难免有正见者深痛惜。光一向不以为悦人耳目而误人。若不以光言为非,则守分修持。否则不妨各行各道。他日陌路相逢,交臂而去,不须问你是何人,我是谁。[/size]

[size=4]一无量寿经有五译。初译于后汉月支支娄迦谶,三卷,文繁,名佛说无量清净平等觉经。次译于吴月支支谦,有二卷,名佛说阿弥陀经。以日诵之经,亦名佛说阿弥陀经,故外面加一大字以别之。又有赵宋王龙舒居士,会前二译及第三译,并第五赵宋译,四部取要录之,名大阿弥陀经。当时大兴,后因莲池大师指其有不依经文之失,从此便无人受持者。大藏内有此经,各流通处均不流通。有谓另有一种者,即此经也。第三译,即佛说无量寿经二卷,现皆受持此经,即曹魏康(国名)僧铠译。第四,即大宝积经,第十七无量寿如来会,此经王龙舒未见过,乃唐菩提流志译。前有元魏名菩提留支,非唐人,世多将留支讹引之。第五译,名佛说大乘无量寿庄严经,赵宋法贤译。原本二卷,以宋人以所译经多为荣,故分两卷,于绝不宜分处而分,今刻书本作一卷。就中无量寿如来会,文理俱好,而末后劝世之文未录,故皆以康僧铠之无量寿经为准则焉。[/size]

[size=4] 无量寿经中,有三辈。观无量寿佛经,有九品。下三品,皆造恶业之人,临终遇善知识开示念佛,而得往生者。王龙舒死执三辈即是九品,此是错误根本。故以下辈作下三品,其错大矣。故上辈不说发菩提心,中辈则有发菩提心,下辈则云不发菩提心。无量寿经三辈,通有发菩提心。在王居士意谓下辈罪业深重,何能发菩提心。不思下辈绝无一语云造业事,乃系善人。只可为九品中之中品。硬要将下辈作下品,违经失理,竟成任意改经,其过大矣。在彼意谓,佛定将一切众生摄尽。而不知只摄善类,不及恶类。彼既以善人为恶人,故云不发菩提心。死执下辈即是下品,故将善人认做恶人。不知九品之下三品,临终苦极,一闻佛名,其归命投诚,冀佛垂慈救援之心,其勇奋感激,比临刑望赦之心,深千万倍。虽未言及发菩提心,而其心念之切与诚,实具足菩提心矣。惜王氏不按本经文义,而据观经,硬诬蔑善人为恶人,竟以恶人为判断。王氏尚有此失,后人可妄充通家乎。既有无量寿经,何无事生事。王氏之误,莲池大师指出,尚未说其何以如此。今为说其所以,由于死执三辈即九品也。书此一以见会集之难。一以杜后人之妄。魏默深,更不必言矣。胆大心粗,不足为训。(廿九年八月廿日)[/size]

《无量寿经》诵了多少遍
